Today I’m super excited to see my bro from my work. I have met Eric and work with him several years in Full Sail. I’m so happy he’s doing well for his higher education. finally we able to arrange a time to have lunch
after he moves out Orlando it is hard for us to catch up. so we made this plan to loca a dim sum place call royal china restaurant .
we also have several local friends join us. the place is very clean fresh. we order several traditional plates.
for sure you cant skip the egg tart, the egg tart shows the restaurant level because you need to be a master skill making the egg tarts and more layer is better skills. so far in Orlando I havent see any good egg tarts, for sure the one I have now is so good.
the seaseme ball mix with white sesame and black sesame has different flavor with sweetness,
every dishes was great and original. we probably doesn’t have this level dim sum compare in ATL.
thanks again to Eric for driving down to meet me. hopefully we will see each other soon.

Julius invited me to join his friend’s birthday party dinner at a local famous Korean BBQ. Also invite several, local food bloggers, and writers. We’re on the way!
Check out this homemade bat-mobile.
The grill had real charcoal and personally that’s the best flavor for bbq. The sides of the grill had small appetizers such as eggs and cheese.
Here’s the meat combo we ordered.
The steak cooks right in front of us and after it is ready the waitress will come and cut pieces for everyone.
the perfect cook with Medium Rare and the steak is so soft.
They also made kimchi fried rice. Loved the flavor.
Thanks for taking me to these great dinners and meeting a couple of new friends, for sure can’t wait to meet them soon again.

After visiting the Ponce City Market, I saw this Window-service stall in a trendy food hall showcasing fried chicken called Hop’s Chicken, this awesome place serves sandwiches, biscuits & sides.
I love the store installation and with super awesome displays.
Full jars ketchup filled the counters.
They also served fresh lemonade and sweet tea.
nice menus.
Here’s my sweet tea and meals.
5-Piece Tenders
Fried Livers
For sure this place has its own unique style chickens. the tenders are fewer flours but very juicy inside. also liver is my first time trying as fired. for quick snack, bite is perfect for afternoon.
Ponce City Market, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308
We went out and planned to check the Orlando eye and The area surrounding it walking around it by International drive, and my wife asked if I wanted have some sea food.
So we saw the Joe’s crab shack near by, and decided to have dinner there!
nice big shark display
Joe’s Classic Sampler Crab & shrimp dip, Great Balls of Fire and Crispy Calamari
Overall everything was good! But if you are a seafood fan, it would be better to check the Boston Lobster Feast, the price for buffet seafood is great!
After checking out all the cool places in the city, Julius had planned an amazing place for our dinner. The Mary Mac’s Tea Room is a historic restaurant in Atlanta, serving Southern cuisine this 1945-era, is part of the history and severing many locals and tourist.
I love the night for city Atlanta
the Pencil building
Julius told me when you tell the severs it’s your first-time visit, they will bring you a special soup.
so I ask Julius why in is this place called tea room? Mary MacKenzie the original owner who opened this restaurant in 1945/ World War II, she was an enterprising woman /widowed by the war, back the day for much difficult reason for women’s own business so the polite way of elevating their endeavor so this place is “tea rooms” .
I’m very excited because I never have classic Southern cuisine. the most Famous entrees at Mary Mac’s include fried chicken dredged in buttermilk and flour, which I ordered a Four-piece Fried Chicken. The side item was huge selection and some of them I never tried before.
Great service and learning from this historic place, the food was great, love the chicken the most. Be sure to stop by here to experience some history at ATL, and be sure check my vlog.https://youtu.be/IKLRz03z33s
After my favorite restaurant Aki closed, we found this new place from my coworkers. We have been checking all the reviews and details and finally were able to arrange some time to invite my friend’s Andy and my mom to have a great Sunday brunch together.
Dragonfly Robata Grill & Sushi is a local restaurant in the Dr. Phillips area, which is famous for high-end restaurants.
Neesa and I were ready for our Sunday brunch. The Sunday Unlimited Lunch starts at 11:00 am – 2:00 pm Every Sunday only! an all you can eat $39.00 Adults & $19 Children.
inside interior looks amazing. I love the clean installation.
The wait time is short and quick. take only about a few minutes till the orders are being made.
Select adult beverages with all you can eat selection food will be $45.00.
Also this open kitchen style is nice and clean, you can see how they prepare the food or the chef making sushi in front of you.
The sashimi looks great and fresh, the cut is perfect too
Nigiri selection looks so good. this probably my favorite. Tuna ,salmon and white tuna
Dessert selection of Japanese Inspired Desserts
Salads with Ginger dressing.
Cauliflower salad is amazing too.
DIY Bao selection, you can make your own Bao!
The shrimp cocktail is fresh and I really enjoyed them too .
Some hot food selections with mushroom fried rice
Now is time for chow down. we already have our food lined up!
Neesa is waiting for her food too.
The hand rolled sushi is amazing to taste too, my first bite I can already taste the freshness from the fish.
I was impressed with the sushi. the balance with the rice are is done very well.
The size was perfect, not to much rice like other place that overdo it.
Next to the sushi table is the Made to Order Poké small selection bowl, I like the color and selection, simple and spicy.
The great thing for this unlimited brunch is the hot food order. Most of the order are small sizes like snacks, they only took several minutes to come out. So andy ordered Pork Ramen bean sprouts, menma, mayu, beni shoga, hard boiled egg, tonkotsu broth, scallion.
My wife ordered the Takoyaki (octopus fritters), Japanese mayo, takoyaki sauce, aonori, bonito flakes, beni shoga, she love this plate she ordered it twice.
The grilled octopus, love the presentation. Is super delicious aswell.
We never skip the Miso soup every time we dine in a Japanese restaurant. This miso soup also offered a nice selection with mushroom, tofu, and seaweed,.
I would highly recommend trying the Robata Grilled vegetable corn, turnips, baby carrots, really impressive how they were able made it so delicious by grilled with some simple seasoning,
Japanese Slider beef burger on fresh-baked bun, shiso, fried shallots, cabbage, tomato, honey wasabi mayo, this probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
Dessert-of-the-Day Choose from a selection of Japanese Inspired Desserts
The dessert was also served with some fresh fruit. I love the passion fruit flavor, it makes the dessert taste makes not to sweet. The blueberry /strawberry chocolate cake is amazing.
Thanks Andy for joining with us. I really enjoyed everything from Dragonfly, from experience to all the small food details, so impressed with the food quality and their customer service. I wish I can try everything this time we are so full from having all sushi selection. For sure this going be our treat visiting every month to have a nice Sunday lunch.
The world famous franchise Japanese BBQ is finally landing in our city. I’ve seen this BBQ place from my last trip to Indonesia. the menu is kinda different with an all you can eat type of style.
Lets get ready to order..
The style for cooking meat is very different than Korean. Personally I prefer this one better. The meat being cooked on a mesh grill will definitely taste better.
We ordered two sets of the meat lover’s, which came with Gyu-kaku salad, Miso soup, edamame, and Japanese fried chicken and rice.
For desert we ordered our favorite matcha ice cream. so delicious, I wish I can have this every single day!
